The Huffstutlers seek to evangelize the lost, entrust God’s Word to faithful disciples, and to fully establish churches in his Word to the glory of God.
In 2010 Dan and Angie were sent by Inter-City Baptist Church of Allen Park, MI to Kenya, East Africa. We live in Nairobi – the strategic capital city of Kenya. The Lord has given us three daughters to rear for His glory — Karis (6/14/03), Faith (5/30/06), and Makayla (9/3/08).
A Heritage of Blessings
For you, O God, have heard my vows; you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name. Psalm 61:5
Dan and Angie were reared in Christian homes by God-fearing parents and grew up attending Bible-believing churches in the Midwest. We heard the gospel often as children and accepted the Lord Jesus as Savior. We were both baptized by immersion as young people in our childhood churches. We met in college and were married in May of 2000. In preparation for God’s plan for our life, Dan earned degrees in Prelaw and Theology (M.A., M.Div., Th.M.) and Angie obtained degrees in Church Music and Voice (M.M).
God’s Providence in our Lives
In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:6
During our years in graduate school, we began to seriously consider cross-cultural missions and what the Lord would have us do. Shortly after completing graduate school in 2001, the Lord provided us with an opportunity in 2002 to spend a year as short-term missionaries in Kenya. During our time in Kenya, we became acutely aware of the challenges and needs of missions around the world and especially in East Africa. After returning to east and central Africa for several short-term missions trips from 2006-2010, the Lord put a burden on our hearts for full-time missions in Kenya.
During our time in the US, Dan was able to gain valuable local church experience at First Baptist Church of Lake Orion where he served as a pastor and at Inter-City Baptist Church where he served in various roles in preparation to leave for Kenya.
